This moment is sacred with the almost visible presence of one who has gone before
we come to honor the memory of one who offered his life in the service of his country;
Who has ow enrolled in the great spirit army whose footfalls cause no sound.
But in the memory of man. their souls go marching on, sustained by the pride of service
in time of national danger, because of them, or lives are free, Because of them, our nation lives;
Because of them , the world is blessed.
May the ceremonies of today deepen our reverence for our dead.
Eternal God, Supreme Commander of us all, we bow before thee today with reverend hearts and
in sublime faith, for again Thou has ordered a comrade to that realm in the west, Beyond
the twilight and the evening star, Mindful of service nobly done, Thou has called him to
everlasting rest. Comfort those who mourn and protect them with thy compassion.
